SPOKANE, WA
Our section of train departed Portland, OR with one locomotive and four cars.

At the same time, another section left Seattle, WA with with one locomotive and seven cars. In Spokane, the two trains are combined to one. The Portland section was added to the end of the Spokane section and the Portland locomotive became the lead unit on the consist.
The train proceeds with this final format.

Due to leaving Portland almost two hours late, the Seattle section sat in the Spokane yard waiting for us to arrive. It was after midnight when we arrived, so most people slept through the activity. The makeup was done in quick 20 minutes,
