After approximtely 42 hours, the Sunset Limited arrives in Los Angeles at 5:00am. It was an approach and arrival in the dark morning.
It was cold crossing the desert with thelowest temperature reaching 25 degrees. The windows were dirty ruining the clarity of teh photographs. But, the desert is very stark at times. There was cactus a large protion of the way while crossing Texas and New Mexico. Deer was plentiful and readily visible. The journey across Arizona and California was done in the dark. Who knows what sights were missed during that time. |
