DAY 1: DRIVING FROM TAMPA, FL to LAFAYETTE, LA
SEGMENT TITLE: DRIVING MISS TERESA

The purpose of the first four days of this adventure was to deliver Tersa Vumbaco and vehicle to her daughter
Nicole to help during a medically driven assistance period of relocation.

After a late start due to the late completion of preparations, we began our adventure heading north on US19.
Eventually we transferred to I-10 just west of Talahassee. It is a long drive across the panhandle. We drove
across Alabama which included a very hazy, late evening crossing of Mobile Bay. Due ot the lateness of the
start, we weren't able to viist my old residence outside of Mobile. We traversed Mississippi without any issues,
then into Louisina and across I-12 to Baton Rouge. We were much later than expected and Teresa could not see
the beauty of the Atchafalya Basin, a real pity. Back on I-10 into Lafayette and an adventure to find the
first night's accomodations. Arriving at 1:30am, the day was long and tiring.
Miles completed: 772 (approximate)
